Finance Department Announces Enhanced Participation in Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System

Boise, ID - August 1, 2013 - (RealEstateRama) -- Gavin Gee, director of the Idaho Department of Finance, today announced that starting September 1, the Department will begin using the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) to manage consumer finance company, payday lender and collection agency licenses on a voluntary basis. Mortgage licensees have been on NMLS since 2008 and money transmitters since 2012. The department now has 3,027 licensees using NMLS.

Idaho home price growth outpaces most of the nation

WASHINGTON, D.C. - May 24, 2013 - (RealEstateRama) -- The prices of existing single-family homes in Idaho rose 15 percent in the past year, according to data from the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) released Thursday. Idaho had the fourth-highest rate of appreciation from the first quarter of 2012 to the first quarter of 2013, according to the FHFA’s House Price Index. Only Nevada, Arizona and California had higher rates. Nationally, home prices jumped 6.7 percent over the same time period.

Idaho homeless numbers continue to decrease

Idaho Home Builder Sentenced for Tax Evasion

Schoenauer, a resident of Twin Falls County, Idaho, was sentenced late yesterday in U.S. District Court for the District of Idaho to 27 months in prison for income tax evasion. Schoenauer was also sentenced to three years of supervised release and ordered to pay $429,436 in restitution. Idaho Department of Finance to Adopt New Uniform State Mortgage Loan Originator Test

Boise, ID - March 28, 2013 - (RealEstateRama) -- The Idaho Department of Finance announced today that effective April 1, 2013, the national test for mortgage loan originators (MLOs) seeking licensure in Idaho will include a new uniform state test component.
