Idaho Housing and Finance Association (IHFA) recently received a $97,000 grant from the National Foreclosure Mitigation Counseling Program that will bolster its efforts to provide counseling to Idaho homeowners in danger of foreclosure.
Idaho home price growth outpaces most of the nation
WASHINGTON, D.C. - May 24, 2013 - (RealEstateRama) -- The prices of existing single-family homes in Idaho rose 15 percent in the past year, according to data from the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) released Thursday. Idaho had the fourth-highest rate of appreciation from the first quarter of 2012 to the first quarter of 2013, according to the FHFA’s House Price Index. Only Nevada, Arizona and California had higher rates. Nationally, home prices jumped 6.7 percent over the same time period.

IHFA Still Accepting Applications for the Emergency Homeowners’ Loan Program
BOISE, ID - May 16, 2011 - (RealEstateRama) --There is still hope for hundreds of homeowners who are struggling to avoid foreclosure. Idaho Housing and Finance Association is still accepting applications for the Emergency Homeowners’ Loan Program (EHLP). The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) announced the $13 million home saving program on April 1st. Since the announcement, IHFA has sent out more than 700 applications, and only 287 have been returned for review
