Nancy Vannorsdel joins Idaho Housing and Finance Association Board of Commissioners

BOISE, Idaho – (RealEstateRama) — Idaho Housing and Finance Association has announced the appointment of Nancy Vannorsdel to its seven-member Board of Commissioners by Governor C.L. “Butch” Otter.

Vannorsdel has extensive experience in the areas of banking and business. Her past service as President and CEO of Boise Metro Chamber of Commerce underscores her commitment to creating a thriving economic environment for Idaho communities.

“We are pleased to welcome Nancy to our board,” said Gerald M. Hunter, president and executive director of Idaho Housing. “Her financial and community expertise will be valuable to the organization as we address housing and economic development needs across the state.”

Vanndorsdel began her distinguished 30-year career at United Bank of Denver as a Trust Officer, and subsequently held senior positions at Bank of Idaho during its transition to First Interstate Bank, and finally, Wells Fargo Bank. Positions there included VP of Marketing, Senior VP in charge of Retail, Area President for Idaho and Montana, and Division Manager of Premier Banking for the Northwest with First Interstate/Wells Fargo.

She has served on the boards of numerous Idaho nonprofits, notably, as President and CEO of the Boise Metro Chamber of Commerce, Interim CEO of The Idaho Aquarium, President of the Boise Philharmonic, and President of the Idaho Banker’s Association. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Retailing/Marketing from the University of Denver.
