BOISE, ID – September 2, 2010 – (RealEstateRama) — Wells Fargo recently contributed $10,000 to the Finally Home!® Homebuyer Education Program administered by the Idaho Partners for Homebuyer Education, Inc. (IPHBE, Inc.). The Wells Fargo Housing Foundation contributed $7,500 and the Wells Fargo Idaho Foundation contributed $2,500. In total, Wells Fargo has contributed more than $100,000 to the program since it began in 1999.
“Making smart credit decisions, particularly when it comes to purchasing a home, is more important than ever in today’s economy,” said Dana Reddington, Idaho Region president for Wells Fargo. “Wells Fargo is pleased to support IPHBE’s Finally Home!® program, which provides valuable education for first-time homebuyers.”
These funds will be used to assist Finally Home!® with its operating expenses, such as reimbursement of the training partners, as well as costs for printing and distribution of the homebuyer education textbooks statewide.
“The financial support from Wells Fargo has allowed us to reach more first-time homebuyers across Idaho,” said Heather Harrison, Finally Home!® Homebuyer Education/Counseling Administrator. “Wells Fargo loan officers have also served as volunteer instructors for our classes, contributing to the success of the program.”
Finally Home! ® eight-hour classes are offered statewide by regional training partners in Coeur d’Alene, Sandpoint, Lewiston, Boise, Caldwell, Twin Falls, Pocatello, Nampa, and Idaho Falls. Users can access the online classes by visiting www.finallyhomecourse.com.
