BOISE, ID – February 2, 2010 – (RealEstateRama) — US Bancorp Foundation recently contributed $8,500 to the Finally Home!® Homebuyer Education Program administered by the Idaho Partners for Home Buyer Education, Inc. (IPHBE, Inc.). US Bancorp has contributed on an annual basis since the program’s inception.

“US Bank is committed to helping all of our fellow Idahoans achieve the ultimate American Dream of homeownership. The Finally Home!® program is a very important step in reaching that goal,” said Eric Bouchard, Vice President, US Bank Home Mortgage.

These funds will be used to assist Finally Home!® with its operating expenses, such as reimbursement of the training partners, as well as costs of printing and distribution of the homebuyer education textbooks statewide.

“The financial support from US Bancorp Foundation has enabled us to reach and educate more first-time homebuyers across Idaho, which is especially important given the current economic situation,” said Heather Harrison, Finally Home!® Homebuyer Education/Counseling Administrator. “Their participation in the Finally Home!® program contributes to our success and helps potential homeowners across the state.”

Finally Home! ® eight-hour classes are offered statewide by regional training partners in Coeur d’Alene, Sandpoint, Lewiston, Boise, Caldwell, Twin Falls, Pocatello, and Idaho Falls. Online classes are available in both English and Spanish at www.finallyhomeidaho.com. In addition to covering all the steps necessary to purchase a home, the Finally Home! ® course also covers budgeting and credit issues, predatory lending, and steps to take if a homeowner is facing foreclosure. More than 22,000 Idahoans have graduated from the Finally Home! ® program since it began in 1999.
