December 30, 2011 – (RealEstateRama) — A national solar installation company wants about 90 laborers and equipment drivers for jobs lasting four months beginning Jan. 10. The project is a 30-megawatt fixed-tilt, ground-mount system in the Grand View area.
Interested applicants should attend a job fair at the Idaho Department of Labor office in Mountain Home on Jan. 4 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Mountain Home office is located at 1150 American Legion Blvd.
Aerotek, the Maryland-based employment agency that will hire the workers, wants people with at least two years of construction experience and some mechanical ability. Certification by the Occupational Health and Safety Administration and solar experience would be pluses.
Pay will range from $10 to $12 an hour for general laborers, $13 to $14 an hour for skilled laborers, $15 to $18 an hour for forklift operators and $19.50 an hour for operators on Bobcats, pile drivers and other equipment.
Job fair participants are encouraged to bring their résumés and be prepared to complete an application, undergo an interview and pass a pre-employment drug test.
