Idaho Department of Finance to Co-Sponsor A Free Foreclosure Intervention Workshop
Boise, ID – August 14, 2012 – (RealEstateRama) — The public is invited to attend a Free Foreclosure Intervention Workshop scheduled for Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at the Boise Centre, 850 West Front Street, Boise, ID. Housing counselors, lending institutions and other mortgage experts will be available to help guide attendees through options to avoid foreclosure and the foreclosure process.
Gavin Gee, director of the Idaho Department of Finance, believes the workshop will be of great benefit in reaching out to homeowners. “Our goal is to provide assistance and alternatives that will help keep borrowers in their homes and in their communities,” said Gee. “By working together organizations can make an important difference.”
During the workshop participants will be able to meet with housing counselors, possibly meet with their lenders and, while they wait, view videos on such topics as the foreclosure process, refinancing, social services, avoiding foreclosure and mortgage scams, and budgeting.
Although walk-ins are welcome, interested parties are strongly encouraged to register prior to the event to make appointments with housing counselors. In order for the housing counselors to help determine the homeowner’s next best steps, it is crucial that participants bring with them completed copies of the following items:
