WASHINGTON, D.C. – May 13, 2014 – (RealEstateRama) — The Idaho Fair Housing Forum and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development will host a Fair Housing Accessibility FIRST training session on May 15 in Boise. This free program also will be availablethroughout the state via webcast.
The training session is specifically tailored to the needs of professionals involved in the planning, design, construction and review of residential housing. It will cover the Fair Housing Act’s design and construction requirements, accessible routes, strategies for compliant bathrooms, and accessible public and common‐use areas. The session is registered with the American Institute of Architects and architects can receive up to six continuing education credits.
The live program begins at 8:30 a.m. MDT May 15 in the Washington Group Plaza Auditorium, 720 Park Blvd., Boise. Webcasts will be held in Coeur d’Alene, Lewiston, Pocatello, Twin Falls and Idaho Falls. Registration is required.
