Fifteen Canyon County REALTORS® honored for helping homeowners

January 23, 2012 – (RealEstateRama) — Fifteen Canyon County REALTORS® will be honored for connecting homebuyers to affordable home loans through Idaho Housing and Finance Association (IHFA). In the past two years, they and other REALTORS® in the county have helped 307 homebuyers purchase homes with Idaho Housing Home Loans worth more than $29 million.

Juanita Glaubitz (Gold Award), Rose Sanchez-Prideaux (Silver) and Norma Garcia (Bronze) earned the top STAR Awards for representing the most Canyon County homebuyers who purchased homes using Idaho Housing’s Home Loan program. They will be recognized along with First Mortgage Company of Idaho, IHFA’s top lending partner in the area, and 75 other REALTORS® at IHFA’s biennial STAR Awards luncheon on Jan. 24 in Nampa.

“IHFA has invested more than $1.3 billion in home loans in the Canyon County area in the past 36 years,” IHFA Vice President of Homeownership Lending Susan Semba said. “We’re proud that we’ve been able to work with area REALTORS® to help almost 17,000 families attain affordable homes.”

About the winners

Juanita Glaubitz of Silvercreek Realty Group has been a REALTOR® for more than seven years and is a past president of the Nampa Association of REALTORS®. “Idaho Housing has products that help people get into homes who would not likely be able to get into homes otherwise,” Glaubitz said.

Rose Sanchez-Prideaux of Blossom Heights Realty is a longtime resident of the Treasure Valley. She got her REALTORS® license in 2002 and is a board member of the Nampa Association of REALTORS®. “Thanks to (Idaho Housing) programs, buyers are able to get in right away without losing hope,” she said.
