Coeur d’Alene-area REALTORS® and lenders honored for helping homeowners

WASHINGTON, D.C. – November 6, 2014 – (RealEstateRama) — Twenty northern Idaho REALTORS® and lenders will be honored Wednesday for connecting homebuyers to affordable home loans through Idaho Housing and Finance Association. In the past year, REALTORS® and lenders in northern Idaho have teamed up with Idaho Housing to help 500 new homebuyers purchase homes, representing a $60 million investment in the community.

“By reducing borrowing costs and offering down payment and closing cost assistance, Idaho Housing has helped 12,000 families in the Coeur d’Alene area attain sustainable homeownership in the past 40 years,” said Idaho Housing President Gerald M. Hunter. “We’re proud that we’ve been able to invest more than $1 billion in the area in that time.”

Scott Lewis (Gold Award) of Keller Williams Realty, Joe Cosgrove (Silver Award) of Hope Realty and Tina Hood (Bronze Award) of Century 21 Beutler & Associates represented the most northern Idaho buyers who purchased homes using Idaho Housing’s Home Loan program. Honorable mentions went to: Claudia Brennan, Tomlinson Sotheby’s International Realty; Christine Brochier, John L. Scott; Luke Brown, Coldwell Banker Schneidmiller Realty; Angie O’Steen, Century 21 Beutler & Associates; Norm See, Realteam Real Estate Center; Greg Washington, Windermere Real Estate; and Joel Pearl, Joel Pearl Group.

Veronica Garnsey (Gold Award) of HomeStreet Bank, Sandra Wach (Silver Award) of YES Mortgage, and TyAnn Severtson (Bronze Award) of Mountain West Bank were the lenders who represented the most Idaho Housing borrowers. Honorable mentions were: James Costello, Platinum Home Mortgage; Sharon Greer, Mountain West Bank; Ann Hunter, Mountain West Bank; Deborah Kishbaugh, Mountain West Bank; Teresa Metz, Republic Mortgage; Brandon Quigley, Umpqua Bank; and Dan Stubbs, Idaho Independent Bank.
