BOISE – May 6, 2015 – (RealEstateRama) — Jeff Nesset has been appointed to the seven-member Idaho Housing and Finance Association (IHFA) Board of Commissioners.
Nesset has extensive experience in the areas of finance, economic development and legislative issues. He is senior vice president, financial advisor, and branch manager for D.A. Davidson in Lewiston, Idaho. Nesset has been with D.A. Davidson Companies since 1981 and held the title branch manager since 1986.
“Nesset’s expertise will be a valuable asset to the organization as we address housing issues statewide,” said Gerald M. Hunter, IHFA president and executive director. “We are pleased to welcome him to our board.”
Nesset is active in the Lewiston community. He is a founding board member of the Jack O’ Connor Hunting Heritage and Education Center having joined in 2003. Nesset is a past member of the Board of Directors for Regence Blue Shield of Idaho and the Urban Renewal Agency. Previously, he served as the Mayor of Lewiston from 1998-2007 and represented District 7 in the Idaho House of Representatives from 2010-12. While in the House, he served on the Commerce and Human Resources, Education and Transportation and Defense committees.
Nesset holds his bachelor’s degree in business management from Montana State University.
IHFA commissioners are appointed by the governor to four-year terms and typically represent different regions of the state. Mr. Nesset’s term will expire on July 1, 2018.
