Nearly 2,000 Idahoans – 24% under the age of 18 – were identified as homeless during the annual homeless Point-In-Time Count, conducted statewide on Jan. 28, 2009.

BOISE, ID - May 12, 2009 - (RealEstateRama) — Idaho communities feeling the effects of foreclosures in area neighborhoods will benefit from funding recently awarded by Idaho Housing and Finance Association (IHFA). IHFA, the administrator of the program, has conditionally awarded $13.5 million in Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP) funds to help Idaho communities facing increased numbers of foreclosed and abandoned homes.

Homeless persons across Idaho will continue to have access to essential services through a grant distributed by Idaho Housing and Finance Association (IHFA). IHFA has received $2.56 million in Continuum of Care grants from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) that will provide permanent and transitional housing to homeless persons in Idaho.
